1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the Getatext.com website and services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you (“you” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. Access to and use of the Service is conditioned on acceptance of and compliance with these Terms, which apply to all visitors, users, and others who access Getatext.
Notice: Violation of these Terms may result in immediate termination of your account(s) without notice. Attempting to circumvent a termination by creating new accounts is strictly prohibited. By using Getatext, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in their entirety.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Getatext. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and are legally capable of entering into a binding contract. The Service is not intended for use by minors under 18, and Getatext will not knowingly provide services or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you do not meet this age requirement, you must not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age or identity to verify compliance with this requirement.
3. Accounts
When creating an account with Getatext, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your account information (such as your email address and payment details) up-to-date at all times. You must maintain the confidentiality and security of your login credentials. Account Security: Do not share your account password or access with anyone else – your login is personal to you, and you are fully responsible for all activities or actions that occur under your account. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account, you must notify us immediately. Getatext is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials. We allow only one account per individual or entity. The creation of multiple accounts by the same person for any reason, including to circumvent bans or usage limits, is strictly prohibited. If your account is terminated or banned, you may not create a new account to bypass that restriction. Any attempt to do so will result in termination of the new account as well. You are responsible for all usage of the Service under your account(s), and you agree not to let others use your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we suspect is in violation of these rules or is engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful behavior.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree to use Getatext only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may NOT use our Service for any of the following:
- Illegal Activities: Engaging in any activity that violates any applicable law or regulation, or using the Service to facilitate or promote any illegal conduct. This includes, but is not limited to, using Getatext phone numbers in connection with fraud, phishing, impersonation, or other crimes. Misuse of the Service for unlawful purposes will result in immediate termination of your account.
- Spam or Harassment: Using Getatext numbers to send unsolicited messages, spam, or bulk communications, or to harass, threaten, or abuse any individual or organization. Although Getatext primarily receives SMS for verification (and does not support sending outbound texts), any attempt to misuse provided numbers or the platform for nuisance communications or to violate another service’s terms of use is strictly prohibited.
- Financial Services Verification: Do not use Getatext phone numbers to verify accounts for banks or financial services. Getatext does not permit use of its numbers for any banking, payment, or financial-related service verifications. This includes (but is not limited to) verifications for traditional banks, credit card companies, loan or mortgage providers, payment processors (e.g., PayPal), investment platforms, or any other service in the financial sector. Any attempt to use our numbers with such services is a violation of these Terms.
- System Abuse: Interfering with or disrupting the Getatext Service or servers. You must not attempt to circumvent security measures, probe or scan the vulnerability of our systems, or overload, “flood,” “spam,” or “script” the Service in any manner. The use of automated scripts or bots to rapidly request or farm large quantities of numbers is prohibited, as is any other use that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure. We reserve the right to suspend any account engaged in such activities to maintain platform integrity.
Any use of the Service in violation of the above will be considered a breach of these Terms. Getatext reserves the right to investigate any suspected misuse and to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activities without refund. We may also report any illegal activities to law enforcement as required.
5. Phone Numbers and Service Usage
When you use Getatext to obtain a phone number for SMS verification, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding the numbers and their use:
- Temporary Nature of Numbers: Any phone number (“number”) provided to you is temporary and provided for the purpose of receiving one-time password (OTP) or verification codes. You do not own any number provided, nor do you have any long-term right to it. All numbers remain the property of Getatext or its suppliers. We may change or recall a number at any time at our discretion, and availability of specific numbers or area codes is not guaranteed. Numbers are available on an as-needed basis and may be reused by other customers after your use.
- Purpose of Use - Verification Only: Our Service is intended solely for receiving verification codes (OTP messages). It is not a general-purpose communication or messaging service. You should not use Getatext numbers to receive personal messages, engage in conversations, or for any purpose other than entering a verification code back into the service you are using. We do not support outgoing SMS or voice calls. The verification process begins when we provide you a number and ends once you receive the code for that request. We are not responsible for anything that occurs outside of this intended use. For example, if you attempt to use a Getatext number for any ongoing communications or non-verification purposes, any consequences are solely your responsibility.
- Temporary vs. Rental Numbers: Getatext may offer two types of number usage options: temporary (short-term) and rental (long-term) numbers. A temporary number is typically available for a single verification session or a very short time window (often only a few minutes) before it expires. A long-term rental number is a number you can keep assigned to your account for an extended period (e.g., days or weeks) and receive multiple verification messages on it during that time. Long-term rentals may require paying a rental fee (e.g., daily or monthly) in addition to per-message fees. The exact duration and pricing of rentals depend on the service and will be indicated at the time of purchase. Even when you rent a number, it remains temporary in the sense that it will eventually expire if you do not renew it - you do not own the number permanently.
- Rental Renewals: If you use a rental number, you are responsible for renewing it (if you wish to keep it) by paying the applicable renewal fees before the rental period lapses. Getatext may provide an “auto-renew” option for convenience (if available, you can opt in to automatically extend your rental by deducting the next period’s fee from your balance, provided you have sufficient funds). If your rental period ends without renewal, the number will be reclaimed and possibly reassigned to another user or discarded after a grace period. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to get the same number back once it has expired.
- No guarantee that numbers will work 100% for a particular service: Although we strive to provide a reliable service, we cannot guarantee that all numbers will be able to verify a service due to the exploitation of global services such as Telegram or WhatsApp. Getatext is not responsible for any losses if a number cannot be verified or if an external service rejects the use of the number provided.
- User Responsibility and Indemnity: You assume full responsibility for how you use the phone numbers provided. Getatext is not responsible for any incidents or damages arising from your use of a number. This means that if you suffer any loss (for example, inability to recover an account, or any consequence of someone else using the same number after you, etc.), you understand that Getatext’s role was only to provide a temporary verification channel. By using our Service, you agree to indemnify and hold Getatext harmless from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of your use or misuse of any number. We specifically are not liable for any outcomes once the verification process is completed. Always use our numbers in compliance with the terms and conditions of the platform you are verifying, and at your own risk.
5. Payments
Payment Methods: Getatext accepts various payment methods for adding credit to your account, including major cryptocurrencies and traditional payment cards. Supported cryptocurrencies include popular coins or tokens (for example, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins such as USDT on TRC-20 or other networks). For fiat currency payments, we accept major credit cards and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) processed via secure payment gateways. We do not accept cash or checks, and other payment methods (such as PayPal or bank transfer) are only available if expressly listed on our site.
3D Secure Requirement: For all credit/debit card transactions, 3DS (3-D Secure) authentication is mandatory. This means you will be prompted to complete an additional verification (such as entering a code from your bank or using a banking app confirmation) for each card transaction. We prioritize the security of your payments; Getatext does not store your full card details on our servers, and we do not tokenize card information for reuse. As a result, you will need to re-authenticate via 3DS each time you make a new card payment to ensure it is authorized by you and to protect against fraud. By using our Service, you agree not to bypass or disable this security measure.
Accuracy of Payments: You are responsible for ensuring that any payment you initiate is sent to the correct recipient (i.e., to Getatext's official payment address or account) and in the correct amount. We are not responsible for payments sent to the wrong account or in an incorrect amount due to user error. For example, if you are paying with cryptocurrency, make sure you use the exact wallet address and network we provide and send an appropriate amount; if you send funds to an incorrect address or on the wrong blockchain network, we may be unable to assist in recovery. Similarly, if you are paying by card, ensure you follow the payment instructions on our site carefully. Getatext is not liable for any funds lost due to incorrect payment details or third-party imitation (always double-check that you are on the official Getatext website and not a phishing site when making payments). Important: Payment wallets change constantly and are not static, so be sure to double-check before making a payment.
Adding Credit (Account Balance): When you make a payment, the funds (minus any processing fees disclosed, if applicable) will be added as credit to your Getatext account balance (your wallet). You can then use this balance to purchase temporary numbers, rentals, or other services on our platform. In general, all purchases of credit or top-ups to your balance are final. Getatext reserves the right to modify the available payment methods or currencies at any time and may add or remove payment options at its discretion. We may also change our pricing for services from time to time; any price changes will apply to future purchases (we will not retroactively charge you more for a service already paid, but new or additional usage will reflect current prices).
No Chargebacks / Payment Disputes: By adding funds or making a purchase on Getatext, you agree that you will not unjustly dispute the charge with your bank or credit card provider after the fact for services that were provided. In particular, you agree not to initiate any chargeback or payment dispute claiming "Fraud" or "Unauthorized purchase" for transactions you yourself made on our platform. We treat fraudulent chargebacks seriously; such actions may result in immediate account termination. If you have an issue with a service, you should contact us first to resolve it (see Refunds and Cancellations section below for our policy). Furthermore, if you continue to use our services or add additional funds after an initial purchase, this will serve as your acknowledgment that all prior charges were authorized and satisfactory. In other words, each new payment you make confirms your satisfaction with all previously delivered services, and you waive any right to claim past payments were improper once you proceed with additional transactions. This policy helps us maintain fair prices for all users by preventing abuse of the payment system.
Taxes and Fees: Getatext's service fees generally do not include any taxes that may apply to your purchase. You are responsible for any taxes or duties (such as sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar) that apply to the transactions or use of our Service, according to the laws of your jurisdiction. If any third-party payment processor or crypto network charges fees (e.g., mining fees, transaction fees), those are typically borne by you (either deducted from the amount you send or from the amount we receive). We will make reasonable efforts to advise of any additional fees during the payment process.
Payment Fraud: We reserve the right to cancel or suspend any transaction or account if we suspect fraud, money laundering, or any violation of law or these Terms in connection with a payment. We may request additional verification information from you before crediting a payment (for example, we might ask you to verify some micro-transactions or provide ID if required by our payment processor’s compliance rules). Failure to comply may result in rejection of the payment and possibly account closure.
User Balance and Account Funds
Getatext operates a prepaid account system. When you add funds to your account, those funds are converted into credits in your Getatext wallet balance, which you can view on your dashboard. This balance represents the amount available for you to spend on Getatext services (such as obtaining verification numbers or renting numbers). Key points about your account balance:
- Using Your Balance: Once funds are added to your balance, you can use them to purchase services on Getatext. The cost of each service (for example, the price per SMS verification or the daily rental fee for a number) will be deducted from your balance at the time of the transaction. Your balance will decrease as you use services, and you will need to add more funds when the balance is insufficient for further usage. You can view a history of your transactions (credits added and debits for services used) in your account dashboard or transaction history section, allowing you to track your spending.
- No Interest or Insurance: The funds in your Getatext account balance are not a bank account or deposit. They do not earn interest and are not insured by any government agency. The balance is merely a bookkeeping entry that represents prepayment for services. By adding funds, you are essentially purchasing the ability to use Getatext services in the future.
- Non-Transferability: Your account balance is generally non-transferable. This means you cannot transfer or withdraw the balance out as cash or currency, except by using it for Getatext services. (In certain cases, we might allow transferring balance between users or withdrawing remaining funds, but such actions, if allowed at all, would be at our sole discretion and under specific conditions. Unless explicitly provided as a feature, assume you cannot transfer your Getatext credits to another person or redeem them for cash.)
- Balance Adjustments: We reserve the right to correct your account balance if we discover an error or discrepancy. For instance, if a technical glitch credits you an incorrect amount or a service wasn’t charged correctly, we may debit or credit your balance to fix the error (we will usually notify you if we make a significant adjustment). If you notice any mistake or have a concern about your balance, please contact support promptly.
- Expiry of Funds: Generally, the funds in your account do not expire as long as your account remains active. However, if required by law or if an account remains inactive for an extended period (e.g., no logins or transactions for a year or more), we reserve the right to charge inactivity fees or to consider the account abandoned and escheat the funds to the state as required by unclaimed property laws. We will comply with relevant regulations and attempt to contact you before taking any action on dormant accounts.
- Responsibility: You are responsible for all charges and usage of your balance. Do not allow unauthorized people to use your account balance; we are not responsible for any unauthorized purchases made from your account (though we will investigate and may help in cases of clear theft or account compromise). Keep your account secure to protect your funds.
In summary, your Getatext balance is a convenient way to pay for services on our platform. Treat it like a stored-value account specifically for Getatext offerings. It’s your responsibility to monitor your balance and usage. If you decide to stop using Getatext and your account is in good standing, you may contact us to request closure of your account; any refund of remaining balance will be handled according to our Refunds and Cancellations policy (and may not be available if you have violated these Terms).
Refunds and Cancellations
Getatext aims to be fair with refunds while preventing abuse of the system. This section outlines when you may be eligible for a refund or cancellation and the processes involved:
- Unused Service (No SMS Received): If you pay for an OTP verification (a one-time number) and do not receive any SMS/code for that request, the system will typically detect this and automatically return the spent credit back to your Getatext balance. In other words, if the verification fails because no message arrives (perhaps the service didn't send a code, or it was blocked), you shouldn't be charged for that attempt - the cost is credited back to you. This automatic refund for a failed verification ensures you only pay for successful SMS receptions. If you notice you were charged but did not get a text, please check your transaction history; the amount is usually refunded immediately to your balance. If not, contact support and we will verify and credit your account appropriately. (Keep in mind that if a code was sent by the third-party service and delivered to our number, even if you didn't see it in time or didn't use it, that is considered a completed service and would not be auto-refunded.)
- Long-Term Rental Cancellation (Grace Period): When you rent a number for long-term use, you may have a brief window to cancel the rental if you change your mind. If you have not yet received any messages on a newly rented number, you can cancel the rental typically within the first few minutes of starting it (for example, within 10 minutes for most long-term rentals). Upon timely cancellation, the rental fee (such as the first daily charge) will be refunded to your Getatext balance, and the number will be released. This grace period is meant to allow you to back out if you rented the wrong service or no longer need the number. Note: If an SMS has already been received on the rental number, or if the grace period has passed, the rental is considered in use and cannot be canceled for a refund of that period. Also, short-term rentals (which last only a few minutes by design) generally cannot be canceled once started, since their duration is the same as or shorter than any grace period. Always check the rental details before confirming.
- Bulk Purchases: If you purchase multiple verification numbers in bulk or a package of services, please be aware that such purchases are typically non-refundable. Bulk discounts or packages are offered with the understanding that you intend to use them. Once the numbers or services are allocated to you, we cannot selectively refund unused items. For example, if you buy a package of 500 numbers at a discount and use only 200, you will not be automatically refunded for the remaining unused 300 numbers. We encourage you to purchase only what you need. In some cases, if none of the services in a bulk package have been used and you promptly request a cancellation, we may consider a refund as a special exception, but this is at our discretion and may involve cancellation fees.
- Used Services (Completed Verifications): Generally, we do not offer refunds for successfully completed services. If a verification code was delivered to you (and it was usable for its intended purpose), the service is considered rendered and the corresponding fee will not be refunded. We cannot refund services simply because the user no longer needs the verified account or encountered an unrelated issue on the third-party service. For instance, if you use a Getatext number to verify an account and the account later gets closed by that service for reasons unrelated to the phone verification, that is outside our control and not grounds for a refund.
- Service Issues on Our Side: If you experience a problem that is clearly due to Getatext's systems (e.g., our system was down, the number provided was invalid, or an error on our end prevented you from receiving the SMS), please contact us and describe the issue in detail. We will investigate and, if we find that the fault was on our side and the service was not delivered as promised, we will credit your account or provide a refund for that transaction. We handle these on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is to be fair: if you paid for something you didn’t get because we failed to deliver, we will make it right by either re-delivering the service or refunding you the cost.
- Refund Process: Refunds for payments made via credit/debit card will typically be issued back to the same card or payment method, if possible. For cryptocurrency payments, refunds (when approved) will usually be given as equivalent credit to your Getatext balance (in USD or our platform currency) rather than sending crypto back, due to transaction costs and volatility, unless otherwise agreed. We do not normally process direct crypto returns, but in special cases, we may arrange a refund in crypto at our discretion (note: if we do, it will be the equivalent amount in the cryptocurrency at the time of refund, which may differ from the amount originally sent due to exchange rate changes).
- Timing: Refund requests are handled as quickly as possible, but please allow some time for us to investigate and process. If a refund is approved, card refunds might take 5-10 business days to reflect on your statement (depending on your bank). Balance credits are usually instant once approved.
- Abuse of Refund Policy: Refunds are provided to address genuine issues or mistakes. If we detect patterns of abuse (for example, a user frequently uses numbers and then claims refunds falsely, or abuses chargebacks through their bank), we reserve the right to deny refunds and/or terminate the account. Attempting to exploit the refund policy or filing false payment disputes is a violation of these Terms. We maintain detailed logs of service usage, and any fraudulent activity will result in loss of refund privileges and potential account termination.
- Cancellation of Account: If you wish to cancel or close your Getatext account and you have an unused balance, you may contact support to request an account closure. Whether any remaining balance is refundable will depend on the circumstances. If you have not violated any terms and the balance was added relatively recently, we might refund it (minus any applicable processing fees). However, balances that have been in the account for a long time, promotional credits, or balances gained from referrals might not be eligible for cash refund. We will inform you of your options at the time of account cancellation. Keep in mind that if your account is terminated by us for misconduct, any remaining balance may be forfeited as damages due to the violation (or refunded at our sole discretion).
How to Request a Refund: To inquire about a refund, please reach out to our customer support with the following details: the email of your account, the date and amount of the transaction in question, and a description of the issue. We may require additional information (e.g., screenshots or the name of the service you were trying to verify) to assist you. We will communicate with you via email or support ticket regarding the outcome of your request.
Referral Program
From time to time, Getatext may offer a referral program (“Referral Program”) that rewards users for inviting others to use our Service. If such a program is active, the details (such as referral codes/links, reward amounts, conditions, and duration of the program) will be published on our website or dashboard. Participation in the Referral Program is voluntary, and by participating you agree to the following terms (in addition to any specific program rules):
- Eligibility for Referral Rewards: Only valid referrals are eligible for rewards. A valid referral is generally defined as a new user who signs up with your referral link or code and meets any criteria we set (for example, the new user might need to add a minimum balance or complete a purchase for the reward to trigger). You cannot refer someone who already has a Getatext account, and self-referrals are absolutely not allowed. This means you may not create additional accounts using your own referral link, and you cannot receive credit for referring yourself or members of your immediate household or organization in an attempt to game the system. If we suspect that a referral reward was obtained through fraudulent means or by violating the Referral Program rules, we will void the reward and may take further action.
- No Multiple Accounts or Fraud: Creating fake accounts, using disposable emails, or otherwise attempting to cheat the Referral Program will result in disqualification from the program. If you abuse the referral system, for example by posting your referral link on websites in a spammy or deceptive manner or by impersonating Getatext, we may revoke your participation. We reserve the right to review and validate referrals at any time.
- Referral Reward Form: Referral rewards may be in the form of account credits, discounts, or other benefits as specified. These rewards have no cash value (they cannot be exchanged for cash) and are intended for use on the Getatext platform only, unless explicitly stated otherwise. We may cap the total rewards you can earn or set an expiration date for referral credits. Check the program details for any such limits.
- Referral Payouts: If the program offers a payout (for example, $X credit for each valid signup), the payout will usually be applied to your Getatext account balance automatically once conditions are met. In some cases, we might hold referral credits as “pending” for a period (e.g., until the referred user has been active for a certain time) to ensure they are legitimate. If a referred user's qualifying action (like a first purchase) is refunded or reversed, or their account is found to be ineligible, we reserve the right to cancel the corresponding referral reward from your account.
- Prohibited Referral Practices: You must not engage in misleading, unethical, or annoying practices to solicit referrals. This includes no spam emailing people who didn't ask for info, no posting your referral code where it's off-topic, and no bidding on Getatext brand keywords or impersonating Getatext in ads or communications. When sharing your referral link, you should be transparent that you are a user who can earn credit if someone signs up.
- Changes or Termination of Program: Getatext reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time at its sole discretion. This could include changing the reward amount, changing what actions are required to earn a reward, or ending the program entirely. We may make these changes with or without prior notice, though we'll try to announce significant changes on our website or via email. Getatext will not be liable to you or any participant for modifying or ending the Referral Program. If we terminate the program, any unused or unredeemed referral rewards may be forfeited, subject to our discretion. Continuing to participate in the Referral Program after any modification signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.
- Abuse and Forfeiture: If we determine that you have violated the Referral Program rules or engaged in fraudulent or suspicious activity, we may disqualify you from the program and revoke any Referral Rewards you have earned. Serious or repeated abuse may also result in the termination of your Getatext account entirely. We have the sole right to interpret and enforce Referral Program rules. Our decisions are final.
- Disclaimer of Warranties for Referrals: The Referral Program is provided as a promotional feature “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. Getatext does not guarantee the continued availability of any Referral Program or that the program will be free of errors. We make no promises that referral tracking will be 100% accurate at all times (for example, technical issues might occasionally prevent a referral from being recorded). By participating, you accept that the program could be changed or ended, and you release us from any claims related to your participation. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from termination or alteration of the Referral Program. Referral rewards and program benefits are provided at our discretion as a courtesy to loyal users; they are not earned wages and are not guaranteed.
If you have questions about the Referral Program or believe there has been an error in crediting your referral, please contact our support team. We value our users' advocacy and aim to run referral promotions in a fair and rewarding manner.
Delivery of Services
Getatext's services are delivered digitally. When you request a phone number for verification or any other service on our platform, the delivery is typically immediate after your payment or balance deduction is confirmed. You will see the phone number and be able to receive messages on our website interface (or via API, if you use our API) as soon as the system provides the number to you. There is no physical product shipped or delivered at any time - all services are rendered electronically through our platform.
Key points regarding service delivery:
- Instant Provision: Once your account is active and you have sufficient balance, selecting a service (such as choosing a country/service for a verification SMS) will result in the allocation of a phone number to you on the spot. The number will appear on your Getatext dashboard or API response, and you can then use it for the verification process. In the case of a rental, the number will be reserved for your use for the rental period after payment. The nature of our service is on-demand and automated, which means in normal circumstances there is no waiting period. If a number is not immediately available for a given service or region, you may receive an error or a message to try again, but you will not be charged unless a number is successfully provided.
- No Tangible Goods: Because everything is digital, there's nothing that will be mailed or physically delivered to you. Consequently, there's no need for shipping, and issues like shipping delays do not apply. All you need is access to the internet and our website (or API) to use the Service.
- Failed Delivery: If for any reason you do not receive the service you paid for (for example, you requested a number and due to a technical glitch you never got one assigned), it is your responsibility to contact Getatext support promptly. We strive to monitor our systems, but we also rely on users to report problems. When you report a failed delivery, we will investigate and either provide the service or issue a refund/credit as appropriate (see Refunds and Cancellations above). Please provide as much detail as possible (what service you were trying, any order ID, timestamp, etc.) to help us resolve it quickly.
- Service Limits: On rare occasions, we may limit or restrict service delivery to you because of issues like prior violations. For example, if your account was previously banned or terminated, and you somehow regain access, we will block new service requests. Users must ensure their account is in good standing; if you find you're unable to request numbers and you believe your account is in good order, contact support for clarification. Getatext may also impose limits on the number of simultaneous or daily services for anti-abuse reasons (if so, those limits will typically be communicated through the app or API errors).
- Third-Party Delays: Once we have delivered our part (e.g., given you a number), the actual arrival of the verification SMS depends on the third-party (the service you're verifying) and telecommunications networks. Usually, texts arrive within seconds, but sometimes there are delays outside our control. If a significant amount of time has passed and you haven't gotten a code, you may cancel or try a new number (in which case, the unused attempt is refunded as described earlier). However, Getatext cannot speed up or re-send messages from the third-party source. We only facilitate receiving them.
